The Washington Tennis & Education Foundation (WTEF) is a premier educational and tennis organization for underserved children in Washington DC. The mission of WTEF is to improve the life prospects of low-income, underserved children and youth in the District of Columbia through athletic and academic enrichment.
Sponsors and attendees helped WTEF raise more than $1 million to support their programs that serve 1,500 children and families each year. The evening honored Congressman Ed Whitefield who received the William H.G. FitzGerald Distinguished Service award and tennis great, James Blake who received the Champion of Tennis Award.
